Exhibition in the hall of theyouth «Eternity of art».
The exhibition takes place inthe Big showroom and galleries of the Museumof The Saint Petersburg State Art and Industry Academy,named after Alexander von Stieglitz and informally known as the Vera MukhinaHigher School of Art and Design.
At my exposition, according tothe task, I had to include the works of the 4th and 5th year students of theDepartment of "Monumental art" and "Arts and crafts".
To point out the architecturalvolume, and task I formed out my exposition out of 5 sections: drawing,painting, interior design, ceramics and glass, furniture design.
As Dali said: "Beginby learning to draw and paint like the old masters. After that, you can do asyou like; everyone will respect you". The quote illustrates the essence ofmy project perfectly.
The main idea of my project is based on synthesis of classical and modernapproaches which are internal in their potential. The aim of the exhibition isto show, that even contemporary approaches can't be separated from classicalbasis. That is why, I placed the contemporary and complex construction thatsymbolize "Eternity of art" inthe center of my exposition.
In contrast to classical interiorof the showroom, all the exposition equipment is simple and unsophisticated. The Dominant ofmy exhibition is the central exposition. It represents stylized «Moebius's Strip»that personifies infinity. From one side the construction is covered withfabric, and on another side there are cells for exhibits. It is a modularsystem that is held with the help of ribs and fabrics sticked to it. Different videosand slides are projected on the external fabric side. That is my idea is toshow the importance of moving trough different stages of becoming a realartist.
